Newhall Primary Academy and Nursery opened in September 2018 and is located on the outskirts of Harlow. The school has the capacity for 420 students but has initially opened with two Reception classes. It will then grow year-on-year, until it reaches capacity.
Our 56 place nursery is open all year round from 7.30am until 6pm and has funded and full-time daycare places. It takes in children from the age of six months old.
We are part of the REAch2 Academy Trust which promotes strong cultural, social values and an innovative, up-to date curriculum for its schools. Newhall Primary Academy and Nursery promotes a ‘Growth Mindset’ approach to provide all of our children with equal opportunity to empower and independently challenge themselves.
An exciting and innovative curriculum is made special by a wide range of unique learning experiences. A talented and well qualified workforce engages all learners in reaching the highest standards. High aspirations and expectations encompasses the life of the school and nursery and supports the development of children with high self-esteem, self-discipline and strong community spirit.
Education is an essential ingredient for future success. By taking the time to build character in every child through our ethos, code of conduct, curriculum and assemblies, we can teach all children to be successful.
The community now has a new school and nursery to be proud of because we are not afraid to make our expectations clear and ensure they are followed. We will not compromise on a thorough grounding in literacy and maths; however, our curriculum is exciting, motivational and strongly reflect an engagement with 21st century technologies.
