‘The important thing is to never stop questioning.’ (Albert Einstein)

At Newhall Primary Academy, our Science aims to develop the natural curiosity of our children to explore and understand the world around them. Through observation, experience or investigation, our children acquire the key scientific skills they need to think scientifically and question why things happen to become more independent learners.

Sparking an interest in how our universe works is a key element in our science teaching, to ensure the children understand both the uses of science and the implications on our world today, and for the future. By providing lots of hands on experiences, from observing the seasonal changes in our playground to hatching chicks, the children at Newhall are excited for science lessons. All children are given the opportunity to explore and question during science.
