“I found I could say things with colour and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way—things I had no words for.” – Georgia O’Keeffe

At Newhall Primary we aim to encourage the continued development of students’ creativity by providing a range of opportunities for students to express themselves, self-reflect and create works of art; a love of art is nurtured within all.  Our imaginative and diverse art curriculum enables children to see art’s connection with the wider world. We ensure children study a range of artists and therefore are exposed to a range of styles, techniques and creative influences. Artists studied include Giorgio Morandi, Gunta Stolzl and David Hockney.

We take advantage of being part of a sculpture town in Harlow and use this to inspire our work.
