Bluebell room
The children in this class are due to start school in the September.
Our preschool room has a mixture of adult led and child led learning.
The topics are carefully chosen to link from previous learning in Snowdrop room to the next stage of their learning in Reception class.
Although the children have been learning about rhymes, word play as well as initial sounds and set one phonics games in Snowdrop, we begin to immerse the children in our Read Write Inc phonics programme where they are taught the same programme that we use within the school.
We also begin White Rose Maths within our Nursery. It is a maths mastery programme we use within the school and it encourages secure knowledge in number and numerical patterns before they start school life.
There are lots of opportunities for the children to practice early literacy and maths skills as well as learning lots of new skills and knowledge through our topics.
